11-Year-Old Skate Phenom Minna Stess Signs with Superheroes Management
SEATTLE, WA – August 3, 2017 – Superheroes Management is pleased to announce the signing of California-based female skateboarder, Minna Stess to its client roster today.
With a career already several years in the making, Stess is widely regarded as one of the clear future stars of women’s international park and street skateboarding.
Stess’ invitation to this year’s Summer XGames in Minneapolis, as an alternate in the skateboard park discipline, was a prescient indication of her boundless potential.
Despite being a pre-teen, Stess has already earned some top results in skateboarding including first place at the World Cup of Skateboarding, 15-and-under Bowl Championship as well as the 2016 Exposure Women’s Under-15 Bowl Championship. Just age 10 at the time of both of those competitions, she’s the youngest to ever win either of them. She recently placed 3rd at the Vans US Continentals Open.
In addition to her contest results, Stess has attracted an impressive variety of international media coverage including The New York Times Magazine, Vogue, ESPN Women’s, Thrasher and Transworld Skateboarding.
With a grounded, fun, and upbeat personality, Stess has been fortunate to attract a strong base of early supporters including Independent Trucks, Bones Wheels, Santa Cruz, Vans, Girl Is Not a 4 Letter Word, 187 Pads and Sonoma Old School Skate Shop.
She is enthusiastic about her new management, offering: “I’m really excited to work with Jaimeson and Superheroes Management. Ryan Decenzo and Matt Berger are two of my favorite skaters so joining a squad that they’re on is pretty special. Plus, I’ve always wanted to be a superhero!”
Superheroes Management’s Jaimeson Keegan has this to say about the agency’s new signing: “The women’s pro skateboarding movement is gaining momentum rapidly right now, and is therefore a very exciting space for everyone involved. We view the signing of Minna Stess as a big win for the agency, and have every belief that she’ll take her game all the way to the top of skateboarding in the coming years. Go, Minna!”
Stess joins a client roster at Superheroes Management featuring three Olympians, two professional male skateboarders, and several global stars of action sports who have captured a collective 43 XGames medals in the agency’s eight year history.
