Superheroes Crush 2015 Dew Tour
December 2014, our Superheroes crew took Breckenridge by storm! With solid lines and superhuman tricks, the Dew Tour was a spectacle to remember. From the veterans to the rookies, the crew represented strong at both the Slopestyle and Streetstyle events.
Christy Prior lead things off in Women’s Slopestyle Snowbaording. Battling it out in the Last Chance Qualifier, she ultimately produced a first place finish that moved her onto the final. Christy made her comeback, and earned 3rd place in Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle overall. “I was just so stoked to even make the finals against this crew of amazing riders. So getting on the podium really makes me feel amazing.”

Øystein Bråten rocked the course with his phenomenal run in Men’s Freeski Slopestyle Semi-Final. Øystein, aka ‘The Iceman,’ was all-in from start to finish. “I stepped it up on the rails, felt really good and just hoped the judges would like it,” he said. Øystein scored a personal best of 92 for his qualifying run. He later claimed 2nd place in Men’s Freeski Slopestyle Final on Sunday. The Iceman was chargin,’ no doubt about that.

No stranger to Breckenridge Mountain, Bobby Brown competed with near flawless execution throughout all three runs in the Men’s Freeski Slopestyle Semi-Final. During the Last Chance Qualifier, Bobby slayed the course. and put down several rock solid runs, but in the end, wasn’t viewed the same way by the judges as the fans.

Seb Toots, another decorated Dew Tour athlete, delivered a gnarly performance in Men’s Snowboarding Slopestyle Final. In the finals, Seb stomped a frontside double cork 1080 to a backside 1080 that stunned the judges and sealed the deal. His fearless run earned him 2nd place in the final. “I’m stoked to come out to the first big slopestyle contest of the year and ride my best. Getting on the podium at The Dew Tour is always huge.”

Darcy Sharpe brought steez back to Slopestyle in the Semi-Final. Instead of throwing down formulaic, technical tricks, Darcy shocked the industry with a run that was pure style. For Darcy, it was all about “having a course where you can shred and enjoy.” His definition of flair continued with the Snowboard Streetstyle competition, where he took home 1st place Overall and Best Trick.
