Dew Cup Trifecta
During the past few years, The Dew Tour has represented the pinnacle of seasonal, multi-discipline action sports’ series. Thanks in part to high-exposure weekend programming on NBC, Allisports has helped to gather exposure for its Dew Tour athletes, sponsors, fans, and the culture at-large.
Among the top athletes featured in the Dew Tour since 2009 are Superheroes Management clients’ Ryan and Scott Decenzo, Drew Bezanson, Bobby Brown and Sebastien Toutant. And from that group of five summer and winter sports’ clients, three are now recipients of the coveted Dew Cup, which is given to each season’s champion based on points earned through the series.
In 2011, Bobby Brown earned the first Dew Cup from our camp, with a remarkably consistent year highlighted by a victory at the Killington, VT tour stop. Nine months’ later, it was Dew Tour rookie Ryan Decenzo’s turn to scoop up his own series champ hardwear following a win at the Las Vegas Finals in a field that included Paul Rodriguez, Greg Lutzka, Manny Santiago and his brother, Scott. The elder Decenzo was also crowned co-Toyota Athlete of the Year for the Summer Dew Tour, as he tied his Darkstar teammate Pierre-Luc Gagnon for the most points in the series. Now the latest superhero to have a cup at home to drink from is Sebastien Toutant, who put together an impressive first full year on the tour with a 2-2-1 outcome in three total tour stops. The 1st place came at the perfect time, too, when ‘Toots’ dropped a 94.5 score in his victory run last weekend at Snowbasin to claim the overall series title.
While rumors continue to circulate as to the future of The Dew “Tour”; big brother and predecessor, X Games (and its global expansion); The Street League; Maloof Money Cup; TTR Series; AFP Series; etc, there’s no doubt that to possess a Dew Series Cup is truly a mark of achievement in the modern era of action sports. We wish to congratulate all of our clients on their efforts to have their very own Dew Cup featured in their prolific trophy cases. Because other than the one named Stanley, there’s no cup we’d rather help carry.
