10. Frequent traveler points. Are we kidding? Actually, no. To be in this industry is to travel with remarkable regularity, and sometimes that’s not easy. Saying goodbye to family and friends, even for a short time, can be difficult. And while all the airline and hotel points on the planet aren’t worth the trade, they are atleast a small consolation prize. Now if we could add a wish, it would surely be this. Alaska Airlines, PLEASE let your mere MVP’s join the MVP Gold security line? Pretty please?

9. The forthcoming La Nina. We’re not exactly sure when this whole phenomenon is going to kick-in this year, as it surely hasn’t begun to show any signs. With any luck, sometime around March when the Winter comp schedule relaxes just a bit, and our film-stars are kicking into 7th gear, its going to ‘nuke’ every single night, and be sunny, dry and warm every day at our favorite local spot. Is that too much to ask?

8. Our awesome office / officemates. Two years’ ago at the inception of our new business, the fine crew at Superbig Creative took us in off the street, handed us a bar of soap and key to the shower stall, and even bought us a couple sets of really fresh clothes. OK, this analogy is probably a reach for our dear readers. In reality, they built us an amazing brand identity, website, and even some press-release and sponsorship proposal decks. It was amazing. This year, we moved into a fantastic office space with them in Pioneer Square, and are paying rent. Ever seen ‘Dark Days‘? We’re feeling like the last five minutes of that movie about now. So thank you Kev, Rich, Matt, Devin, Tony, and Mia for everything you’ve given us. We’re forever indebted.

7. The new Red Bull x NBC x Allisports Partnership. Just when it seemed like things couldn’t get any better, three world-class media companies came together and announced a partnership of epic proportions (ok, atleast in action sports it is). The new deal, announced here, will not only keep Allisports traditional summer and winter competition events alive, but will also serve to highlight some of the most spectacular backcountry-style athletes and events on the planet. This is big. This is really, really big.

6. Slopestyle in the Olympics. Please reference every other Tweet that we made from July 4th through November. We’ve worn it on our sleeves since the start: With all love to the amazing athletes and fetes of greatness in the halfpipe (yep, looking at you, Shaun and Louie), we get more excited about hucking and chucking more than 100 feet. Fortunately, we’re happy to have clients that feel the same way. This year, our clients Bobby Brown andSeb Toots made history with their insane variations of Triple Corks, performed with impeccable style. We’re not saying that Devun’s half-cabs and switch methods are any less beautiful, but bring on the super-tech, boys!

5. Our partners. No question we inherited a stack of awesome sponsors when we signed on our client roster: Burton, Oakley, DC, Salomon, K2, Ride, Red Bull, O’Neill, Under Armour, Electric, Skullcandy, Dakine, Vail Resorts and the list goes on and on. Its been a privilege to engage with so many world-class brands on behalf of our clients . As well, we’ve been very fortunate to wrangle some tremendous new partners such as: Monster, Toyota, Bing, Contour, Go-Pro, Arnette, Kicker, AWSM, and more. The bottom line is that unlike any other sports subculture, sponsors finance and therefore shape action-sports culture in a remarkable way. So when you have the kind that truly “get it,” that’s a special thing.

4. Our staff. Two years ago, this one-man band was ostensibly walking into the Holiday Inn with a drum machine, guitar, harmonica, and keyboard, and cranking out lobby jams to anyone that would listen. Today, we’re just a three-piece, but damn the music already sounds a lot better. Big thanks to Alysa, Sarah, Stephanie, and Molly for all making huge contributions to our young business. It can’t be overstated how much you have all helped us to grow given the complexity and chaos of our business at-times.

3. Drew Bezanson’s Recovery. Major injuries (and other, far worse situations) are unfortunately an all-too-common occurence in action-sports. In our brief history, we’ve seen several clients bang themselves up and get concussed, break ribs and ankles, and sustained nearly every form of bruise and sprain. But what went down with one of the nicest, most positive individuals on the planet (that’s Drew, period) earlier this year was nothing short of frightening. So the best news of our year is undoubtedly the return of Super Drew, who dropped this awe-inspiring “Hey Everyone – I’m BACK” edit just in time for the holiday season.

2. Our clients’ families. You’re probably sick and tired of us talking about the character of our clients. That’s fair. Enough is enough! So today, we want to talk about how they got all that great character for a hot minute. With several clients who are still minors, and others in the process of buying their 3rd home, having great guidance and support is an amazing thing. So to Julia, Deb, Bob, Connie, Laura, Dave, Chantel, Benoit, Ray and Sylvia, we can’t thank you guys enough. You totally rock, and genuinely make every day here at Superheroes Management that much better!

1. Our clients. Dudes. Thank you so much. Thanks for being awesome on and off your sticks, skates, bikes, and whatever. Thanks for believing. Thanks for forgiving mistakes. Thanks for listening. Thanks for talking. Thanks for going the extra mile every single time that we ask. And Happy Holidays. We’ll see you soon.
