Quite possibly not new news, but still totally great news from our standpoint, the once and future King of Whistler, Mikey Rencz has signed with a multi-year partnership with Monster Energy Drink. Rencz, who has filmed with the likes of Burton, Whiteout/Wildcats, People, and Alterna through the years, is considered a perennial regular at the all-star game of backcountry snowboarding. But it was his humble attitude and understated leadership that brought the new beverage deal his way. “Mikey’s the man,” says Monster’s Nelson Phillips. “I’ve known him for years, and always thought he would be a perfect fit for who we are and what we’re doing.”

Rencz agrees, “Soo hyped to be part of the monster family with all my homies! it really feels like fam i couldn’t be happier!”

Indeed Rencz joins part-time roommates and full-time friends Eero Niemela, Dustin Craven, and Iikka Backstrom on the Monster team, along with several other world-class snowboard stars.
