Walsh Stomps Cover of Transworld Snowboarding

Congratulations go out to superhero Devun Walsh, who just locked down the October 2010 cover of Transworld Snowboarding. The North Vancouver-based snowboard legend got the shot late last season with prolific Transworld photographer Scott Serfas, who commented on it here better than we ever could. Props to TW for running it as a sequence, and paying proper homage to Dev’s wicked style.

In gaining his 3rd TW Snowboarding cover, Devun joins some very special company. Per Annie Fast, the highly-respected TW Snow Senior Editor, only Todd Richards, Jeremy Jones, and the other Jeremy Jones have landed (3) covers, with Shaun White topping yet another podium with (4) lifetime covers. As incredible as that list is, to consider the list of the stars who aren’t on it really helps the impact of the accomplishment resonate.

For his part, Devun had this to say about the accomplishment: “What an amazing way to start the new season. I only rode until April last year – when our first child was born. But I thought I had a great year filming until then, and now to get this TW cover, my 3rd, means a great deal to me. The emotion of capturing a cover like this one never gets old. I’m taking the family to dinner to celebrate!”

Hats off Dev, and Serfas too. Keep up the great work, gents.
