On Saturday, January 30th, a young freeski star from Breckenridge, Colorado made history. Bobby Brown is his name. And he became the first skier to ever win 2 Winter X events in a single year. It was a special moment in ski history, with Bobby’s wide smile telling the story over and over to tens of millions of viewers in households across America. Beset on all sides by heaps of talent he refers to as his friends, Bobby unleashed a series of tricks in both the Slopestyle and Big Air contests that had yet to be landed in competition to-date. The most explosive of those tricks was a Switch Double-misty 1440 of seismic proportions. Rumor has it that even the judges were jumping up and down.

For many, Bobby Brown seemed to leap into their living room, and remain for a couple nights’ of dinner conversations. For others, all of this madness was really not such a surprise. After all, there are those who have watched Bobby’s rise to the top of his game over a period of years, rather than days or seconds.
